The Gallery at Port 1560, in collaboration with the young artists of the St. Agnes of Bohemia Secondary School of Applied Arts, invites you to an exhibition of graduation projects. The Gallery will showcase works from six artistic disciplines: Applied Photography and Media, Stage and Exhibition Design, Graphic Design, Applied Painting, Stone Sculpture, and Book and Paper Design.
Located just next door to the Gallery, the school has long maintained a natural partnership with the institution. This collaboration has now resulted in a unique project offering insight into the students’ four-year artistic development and their journey towards a distinctive creative expression. The exhibition will open with a vernissage on 5 June and will remain on view until 5 July.
Each graduation project represents the culmination of intensive individual work, from the initial idea through research, design development, and the selection of technologies and materials to the final outcome. Students often explore highly personal themes, working with their own texts, music, or photographs, and defend their projects before an examination board not only through artistic presentation but also through critical argumentation.
Due to the specific nature of many of the projects, the exhibition presents a curated selection of works, sometimes in the form of installations and at other times through documentation, recordings, or fragments.
