Christmas Season at Port 1560

During the four weekends of the Advent season, we’ll make the wait for Christmas more enjoyable with a program full of creative activities, festive atmosphere, and holiday spirit.

Beer Wreath (every Advent Saturday, 16:30)
At Port, the Advent wreath isn’t lit—it’s tapped! Come and see a truly unique Advent wreath made of beer kegs in our festively decorated courtyard. Every Saturday at 16:30, we tap one of the four kegs. Beer will be served free of charge.

Brew House Tour (every Advent Saturday, 17:00)
A short moment after tapping our Advent beer “candle,” we will start a guided tour of the historic Brew House. With refreshments, of course! Basic admission: 390 CZK (20% discount with the Krumlovák Card). Only in Czech.

Advent Workshops (every Advent Saturday, 14:00–18:00)
Every Advent Saturday from 14:00 to 18:00, a Christmas workshop will be held in our graphic studio. Anyone who visits during this time can create their own Christmas project. See a detailed schedule of the workshops here.

Old-Czech Christmas in the Town House (from 29 November until the end of the Christmas season)
On the second floor of the Palace of Anna von Rogendorf, where the world of bourgeois households comes to life, we have prepared a magical Christmas atmosphere for you.
- Walk through an Old-Czech household—kitchen, dining room, living room, study, and an old street—and discover how the holidays of peace and comfort were once celebrated.
- In each room you’ll find traditional Christmas customs with small tasks for children—learn where mistletoe grows, how the Christmas tree was decorated, and why we bake Vánočka (sweet Christmas bread).
- Christmas photo point – on the old town street, you can take a keepsake photo with historic sleds or dress up in period costumes.
- Mini cinema for young and old – in a cozy corner, a 45-minute loop of retro fairy tales from the National Film Archive will be screened every Advent weekend: Midnight Adventure, When They Went to Sleep, Two Little Jacks Frost, and The Swineherd. Grandparents can reminisce, and children can discover the magical charm of old films.

Advent Window on the Brewery Courtyard (every Friday to Sunday, and daily from 26 December to 4 January, always 14:00–20:00)
Look forward to enchanting Christmas lights throughout the Port 1560 grounds, the Advent Nativity scene with live sheep, and a festive refreshment stall on the brewery courtyard. Here you can enjoy fragrant Christmas punch, a glass of proper beer, or a tasty treat. You can sit by the fire and enjoy peaceful moments accompanied by Christmas carols. The entire courtyard of Port 1560 will glow with magical holiday atmosphere.

Free Admission for Children up to 15
And that’s not all—during the entire Advent period (from Saturday, 29 November), children up to 15 years of age have free admission to all exhibitions! Just choose whether you want to explore the mysterious Hvozd, experience bourgeois life in the Palace, visit the historic Brew House, or find inspiration in the Gallery.

Come celebrate the most magical time of the year with us!
